Wash and Care Guide

Prewash/Prepping:
When you have purchased new you will want to pre wash your diapers to prep the fabric.
Diaper covers may be washed with inserts for one cycle (main wash/cottons/heavy duty @ 40-60 degrees, hang covers to dry)
Inserts need to be washed again for a total of 2-3 wash cycles to improve absorbency and release any natural oils in the fibers. You only need to use detergent for the first cycle and no need to dry inserts between these prep washes.

Care between wash days:
Flush any solid waste into toilet (some parents use a diaper sprayer that attaches to the toilet to rinse). Recommended to rinse used diaper inserts with cold water each night, and wring out to store in wet bag.

When ready to wash soiled diapers: Recommend washing every 2-3 days.

1. You may place covers and inserts together in washing machine. Add detergent (generally line 1) to do a quick wash cycle on cold.
2. When complete add detergent (generally line 2-3) do a heavy duty/cottons/main wash. No hotter than 60 degrees. This is generally a long wash cycle. Never use sanitize cycle.
3. Once washing is complete you are ready to dry.

Drying:
It is recommended to hang dry/air dry your diaper covers and inserts.
Before drying stretch your inserts to maximum shape, hang dry or tumble dry on low/medium as needed. (Diaper covers are excluded from dryer)
